Capacitor replacements question

I need to replace 2 caps in my 1980s era receiver and am having a devil of time finding properly sized replacements. The caps are 10000uf 71v, 50mm tall, 40mm wide, and the leads are 26mm apart, solder lug connectors. I can find caps that are between 10k and 15k uf and higher than 71v, but they are ...

Vintage tube amp for KLH 23s?

I have a nice set of KLH Model 23 speakers that I loooove. They sound so great with my Harman Kardon 730 receiver but am thinking of getting a vintage tube amp to swap out back and forth with the solid state receiver. We all know that those old speakers aren't the most efficient, so I'm worried abou...

Re: Harman Kardon A402 bom

Thanks @paronaram. I just ordered one today. Even if it doesn't cover every single that probably needs to be replaced, this will take me that much closer to having it done.

Harman Kardon A402 bom

I asked this question over at AudioKarma with zero responses, so I know this is a longshot, but I'll try here as well: If anyone has done a complete recap and replacement of transistors in a Harman Kardon A402, would you happen to have a list or bom of all of the items that you had to order to accom...

Re: How to order parts

As for searching for parts on Mouser I can find caps and resistors ok, but not diodes and transisitors. I’m guessIng the original Marantz part numbers require a cross reference chart. Do you have the service manual for this Marantz unit? If so, that's surprising that it doesn't list what each compo...

Trevor's Bench

Another good Youtube tech channel is Trevor's Bench. He continues a nice line of Canadian techs worth watching.

Good job. Nice video, too. I will say that there are a lot of folks out there that prefer to watch someone do the soldering.

Re: Best online source for service manuals and schematics

Normally HiFi Engine is the go-to for manuals, but I don't see anything for your amp there and the only other sites that do have a manual for your particular amp is just an owner's manual. Here's a person on epay that is selling a DVD that claims to have all of Krell's manuals and schematics. https:...

Re: Harman Kardon A402 phono section

Here is the HK A402 phono board taken from the service manual. It appears to be flipped vertically from the 730. Stinks how hard it is to read in this manual. And there's only a partial parts list.
