Marantz 2230 STUMPED

I decided to take a break and reach out for help here at AK. Sometimes when you get in a rabbit hole of troubleshooting you can really become blind, a new perspective would be greatly appreciated. I am repairing an old Marantz 2230, it was in bad shape with many issues, all of which are taken care o...

Has anyone used the RMAA software with a Behringer UCA222 ? I'm not sure what attenuation to use when connecting to amplifier outputs. The 222 has a 27k input impedance I believe.

Heathkit restoration

I'm deep into the referb of these two beauties. IMG_0934.jpeg AM works great FM does not, complete manual on it's way so I'll wait for that. The amp is working but the left channel has a fair amount of low volume distortion, like pink noise. Is it more likely that the germanium transistors are causi...

if the weather is bad enough though, planes will be grounded

need Sanyo STK0050-MK-II darlington amp

I'm restoring a Marantz SR-4000 for a friend. If anyone has a working STK0050-II I'll buy it. I'd rather install an old device from a donor receiver than the knock-offs you get on the auction site. I just returned two for a refund, they distorted at medium volume. Total crap.

Thanks

Re: Realistic SA-2000 integrated

thx, i looked closely but could not find any 250k/Bx2. the Bx2 is important, it has the dual faders inside. Each slider ( left and right ) is itself a dual volume control. It looks like ( on the schematic ) there is volume control before and after the "perfect volume" feature. In the end I...
