Hey danny, There's a another kt88 build of this amp on YouTube by a guy named Steven he had this issue also.He reduced the hum in his transformer by putting rubber feet under the transformer pads.he also did something inside the end bells I'd check out his video I have a slight hum that comes and go...

The ground buss is the only way I wire an amp easier neater and seams quieter to me I have had issues with star grounding and never with a buss ground

This reply is for you hotglass.I finished my blueglow kt-88 with the 40 % output transformer don't worry at all about it.my amplifier sounds unbelievable I can't get over how great it sounds it's awesome. I delt with the same problem.After talking to the woman at edcore you have to tell them that's what you need they will work with you if you talk to them there very good that way.

Hi there people.ok I understand why we use a variac so we don't have a reference to ground.but as soon as I hook up my signal generator I'm grounded. If I take my multimeter and put one probe to chasis on the amp and one to the ground on the generators cord I have continuity so what am I missing ple...

Yes there is a direction to wire leds .there a anode and a cathode pos. And neg they need to be wired right in a dc voltage.in ac it don't matter because it swings in pos and neg. When I wire in ac for 2 leds in curcuit I wire on in pos and one in neg so when one is off the other is on and vice vers...
