Darling amp

Post by vvelt »

Finished up this Darling amp last Spring. The power transformer is an Antek toroidal mounted in a performance air filter cover. An electrical pancake box lifts the cover away from the top plate to avoid a short circuit. The power output valves are JAN 1626/VT-137 from 1944, used in the WWII command set. The output transformers were wound for me by Matt at Musical Power Supplies, and they’re perfect with this amp.

Looks great, I really like the use of the air cleaner.

I love the tube boxes. No disrespect for the amp it self intended obviously, that looks great as well.
